Justices of the Peace
Below is a list of Justices of the Peace who were enthusiastic about being listed on the Freedom to Marry Coalition website, so we expect they are also enthusiastic about conducting marriages of same-sex couples. Massachusetts has over 500 Justices of the Peace. You can find a comprehensive list on the website of the Massachusetts Justices of the Peace Association (www.mjpa.org). We suggest that you call ahead to book your wedding in advance. JPs charge $75 to officiate in town weddings and $125 for out-of-town weddings. JPs also charge a fee for pre-marriage consultation, wedding planning, or special ceremony planning.
